Marie studied German Studies and Political Science for teacher's profession at Technische Universität Dresden (TUD) and graduated with the first state examination. She is also an IHK-certified marketing communications clerk.
After completing her studies, Marie worked for three years as a research associate at TUD in a project related to the federal and state government's quality offensive for teacher training funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research Germany (BMBF). During this time, she also worked as a lecturer in civic education at TUD. Marie's work focused on research, science communication and education in the fields of pedagogical bonding, «Anerkennung», diversity sensitivity, inclusion and «Rassismuskritik».
