Sustainability

UZH Sustainability Commission

The UZH Sustainability Commission supports the Sustainability Delegate of the UZH in fulfilling their task, namely to raise awareness for and foster a sustainable use of resources at UZH in teaching, research and operations.

Tasks

  • Communicating expectations of represented faculties, associations and the Central Services ("Zentrale Dienste") regarding the work of the Sustainability Delegate,
  • Communicating proposals from the represented faculties, associations and the Central Services for additional sustainability-related activities to the Sustainability Delegate,
  • Informing the represented faculties, associations and the Central Services about sustainability-related activities of the Sustainability Delegate, other faculties, associations or the Central Services,
  • Formulating recommendations for the further integration of sustainability in teaching, research and operations of UZH as well as fostering sustainability in the region,
  • Supporting the Sustainability Delegate in advising organisational units of UZH on sustainability-related issues,
  • Reporting to the UZH Executive Board about the work of the commission and informing the UZH Extended Executive Board on realised projects.
