The University of Zurich has published its first sustainability report for the reporting year 2018. The aim of the report is to identify contributions of the university to sustainable development, to present the status quo in the reporting year 2018, to provide a basis for future action and to stimulate a broad discussion on UZH's contribution to sustainable development. Also, the report contains references to additional content related to sustainability at the University of Zurich and is therefore a central access point for those interested.
If you want to contribute to a sustainable future through your own action, climate protection is one of the most urgent matters. The report shows that the most important issues are: air travel, energy use in buildings, commuter traffic, daily nutrition and the purchase of IT-equipment (in this order).
