Why can't I see the names?

We have decided to make the names – if specified – only visible internally at UZH. Once you have logged in to the platform, you will be able to see the names.

What are the greenhouse gas emissions related to food at UZH?

In 2019, around 709,000 meat or fish, 296,000 vegetarian, and 141,000 vegan menus were served at UZH. Consequently, an average canteen guest chooses a menu with meat or fish on three days in a five-day week. The production and provision of food causes greenhouse gas emissions, especially through agro-industrial production. In 2019, the menus served at UZH amounted to the emission of 2,042 tons of CO2 equivalents. These emissions can best be reduced by choosing meat less frequently.
